Herb Barnett

Herb is an InvestEd instructor, co-leader of the computer lab, and a member of the editing team. He became an investment software instructor and beta tester long before the introduction of Windows®. Herb is a director for the Pittsburgh Chapter and the treasurer of three investment clubs, including the online CGAB Alumni Investment Club. Herb received the Distinguished Service Award in Investment Education from the Investment Education Institute. As a retired professional photographer, he now is exploring the transition from film to digital imaging.

Herb has worked with computers for nearly forty years and he still finds them maddening and frustrating at times, but addictive nevertheless. He was a photojournalist for ten years, working out of Tokyo for two years. Following that he specialized in color photography for a number of years and did work that was published by museums and historic sites throughout the USA.
